The Happy Twin

The Happy Twin is Pyzel's modern take on a classic winged swallow-tail twin fin. It has a full, racy outline with the wide point forward, a single wing behind the front fins for a pivot point in turns, and an old-school beak nose. Rocker is flatter for speed and glide in slower, weaker surf, with a bottom that runs double concave into single concave and blends into a pronounced vee off the tail. The deck has an inset double concave in the chest/front foot area. A rear fin box allows for an optional stabilizer fin alongside the twin setup. Pyzel recommends ordering at or slightly under your height, about an inch wider and a touch thicker than a standard shortboard, for extra paddle glide. It is intended for smaller, weaker surf but is also described as suited to faster, freer riding in better conditions across a range of wave types.
