The White Tiger by Pyzel Surfboards is a high-performance shortboard designed for versatile maneuverability, making it a top choice for surfers who crave agility and speed on the water. Originally conceived as a side project for surfing legend John John Florence, the White Tiger has evolved into a favorite among both John John and his brother Ivan, demonstrating its ability to impress even the most discerning athletes. Its distinctive design features a clean, stubby outline with a generous nose and wide squash tail, providing ample surface area for exceptional stability and paddling power. The wide point is strategically placed 1.5 inches forward of the center, enhancing the board's balance and promoting an effortless transition from rail to rail.

The board boasts a meticulously designed bottom rocker, flowing evenly to ensure quick lift and seamless speed across various wave conditions, particularly in weaker sections. The integration of a single/double concave in the front two-thirds of the board transitions to a pronounced vee/double concave in the tail's final third. This design not only facilitates lift, allowing surfers to develop speed, but also permits clean, clean turns and fluid movement through the wave’s face, making it ideal for executing sharp maneuvers and boosting airs. Furthermore, the relatively flat deck combined with tapered rails ensures that the board maintains a sensitive response while retaining its volume, helping surfers to pump down the line without feeling sluggish. For optimal performance, Pyzel recommends riders to select a size 2-5 inches shorter than their standard shortboard and ½ to 1 inch wider—making the White Tiger an accessible choice for both regulars and newcomers eager to elevate their surfing.

Available in multiple sizes, the versatility of the White Tiger doesn’t just lie in its dimensions but also in its fin system, allowing riders to choose between thruster, quad, or five-fin configurations based on their style and wave conditions. This board not only caters to the whims of professional surfers but also delivers an exhilarating experience to everyday enthusiasts looking for fun on the waves, making the White Tiger a must-have in any progressive surfer’s quiver.

Surfed this once for a short session, just loved it. It was the board of the local surf instructor (we're both big boys). Super easy to catch waves, good drive and just got up and went. I just clicked with this shape and thruster.
I bought a DHD Black Diamond 6'6 – 44L after riding this. I felt this board was a little too floaty, but you could ride this size and catch lots of waves!
